About Janie

Hello, my name is Janie, and I’m grateful to serve as part of the Family Seasons team as an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). I grew up as the youngest of five in a military family, moving frequently until my dad’s retirement brought us to Las Vegas in the early 90s. I lived there for 23 years before moving to Caldwell in 2014 to be closer to family. I’ve been married for 20 wonderful years, and my husband and I have four children—three daughters and a son.

My personal journey with breastfeeding each of my children inspired me to make a major career shift from hairstyling to lactation consulting. Driven by a desire to help the next generation of mothers feed, nourish, and bond with their babies, I returned to school and began working with families at the WIC clinic in Caldwell, where I continue to provide education and support.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, playing the piano, and have recently taken up gardening. I’m also a movie enthusiast, and there’s nothing I love more than a good film with my husband—especially with a large tub of popcorn!
