Flowers make me feel creative, alive and happy. I love the challenge of trying to get it just right for the bride on her special day. Some color schemes, like this one, are literally just meant to be.
Take some time today to think about what makes YOU feel creative, alive and happy!
Have you thought of something? Keep thinking. It’s ok if the answer changes from year to year or month to month even. What’s important is that you can identify a few things right now in the present. Think until you come up with a few.
How long has it been since you’ve dedicated some of your time, money or effort to this passion? Believe me, I know how busy life is. I’ve also realized how essential it is to make time for the things that fill up your own cup as a woman and human. I find I’m better equipped to handle the stress of life when I make just a little time for me and my interests.
Whip out that watercolor paint palette that’s been in the basement for 5 years. Take a run on your favorite mountain trail. Try making a completely new recipe. Host a book club. Try out a new hobby. Write poetry. Make that craft you’ve been daydreaming about. Plan a ladies retreat. Schedule a fun date night with your significant other. Schedule a photo shoot.
That isn’t even the tip of the iceberg. I challenge you to plan and then execute something this week that fills your very own cup! Continue consistently to schedule time for the things that make you feel alive and see if it makes a difference in your life.
